Titles For Forum Users

The titles go under the name of each user, it was:
Junior Member
Member
Senior Member

I'd like to have some more fun or clever...just because I can....

We can have as many as we want, so try and come up with some along with number of posts needed to obtain that title, preferably something computery or geeky....

How about some custom names for those of us who help moderate in chat..

"Chat Mod"
"@sshat" from doc fits well.

And for Ferrit "Chat Admin"

and for regular people

"N00b" for a beginer, say till 25 posts
"Addict" Till 100 posts
"Junky" Till 500
"Post Padder" Till 1000
"Lounge Lizard" till 2500
"Ancient and Beloved" there on out

Edit : Last one could also be "BOFH"

Ahhhhh a thread all about custom statuses .... I seem to remember raising this before & being 'booed off the stage' ... but as the 'big mister' now thinks its cool, I'll forget my 'I told you so' attitude and make some suggestions ...

1- 25 Newbie
26-50 Trainee Geek
51-75 Apprentice Geek
76-100 Fully trained Geek
101 -150 Wants to be a tech master
151- 200 Thinks he's a tech master
201 -300 Might know what he's talking about
301-500 Should know what he's talking about
501-750 Ought to know what he's talking about
751-1000 Soon to be tech master or just bored
1001-1500 Tech master
1501-2000 Tech God
2001 + Pick your own !

Initailly you want lots of 'progress' to encorage more posts (though how you stop the 'lols' & lounge lizards- no offence but this is a tech site - building post count & thus 'status' I don't know ...

Don't be stealing my custom status anyway I like it !!!

I think the first level will be hardest to name, they all seem to carry some sort of stigma...

Many people post a few times to sort a problem and then either just read or float away...

I am assuming that you will still be up for custom statuses on request - and Cleetus wants Lounge Lizard - I think he should get it.

So to suggestions

The first poster: Tyro
It means "someone new to a field or activity"

For the "member" : Tributary
It means many things, the definition I am looking at is "Making additions or yielding supplies; contributory"

And for the Senior: Transcendent
In this case meaning "Surpassing others; preeminent or supreme"

I will may be think of some more later, Scott, do you have a particular theme in mind? Should be we thinking along the lines of drivers? Helpers?
