Lost HD space
My problem, i seem to have got about 8GB of HD space used by something that i cannot find nor delete my 80GB HD was about 70GB full now its 78GB full and i have not added anything to it the files in main directory add upto my original 70 GB though click on properties shows 78GB full. I have just got a DVDRW and have tried copying a few DVDs disc to disc I am sure this is the cause of my problem as a friend of mine who got his DVDRW a week earlier is experiencing same problem, we are both running XPpro and have tried doing disk clean up to rid any temp files got less than 1 meg back for this effort. i might be wrong but im sure the image that is created with software is still somewhere but i am at a loss as to how i may find it and delete. any help much appreciated.

Geezer
Very probably your DVD app has done as you suspect, if you can tell us the app's name ? .. maybe someone can give you the default directory ...

You could do a search but first go to the advanced options and set it for file size then look maybe for some larger files
