    analog to digital player

    thanks,
    Looking at this machine with me installed. The media player would not play any cd's. A error kept coming up approx: 'changed to digital format from analog'. I entered the options, unchecked the digital box and also updated media player. This to know avail - the same error message keeps coming up, any suggestions please.

    Do you have a small cable running between your cdrom and your sound card?
