Packets bits and bytes
I've noticed that on some machines with windows XP, when you check the LAN status it shows the packets received, and on others it will show the bytes received. Does anyone know how to change it from one to the other? I prefer to see bytes instead of packets

It depends on what your MTU is set to... see http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;140375 for typical values. Problem is that you cannot convert from one to another since if the amount of data in a packet is smaller than what you can transmit, the remaining bytes will be padded with "0". If you want exact values try this: http://www.dumeter.com/
