General Host Process For Win32 Services
Hi All,
I am running Win XP Pro with ZoneAlarm Pro connected to a network. I notice the following when I get ZoneAlarm up.
General Host Process For Win32 Services Listening to Port (s) TCP: 1025
and
General Host Process For Win32 Services Listening to Port (s) TCP: 5000
Both icons have the sharing (little hand on bottom left showing)
Question is:
Are they pointing to the network or Are they sharing to the internet?
Answers will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Paul

GHP connects to the internet for other programs. These might be legitimate or spyware. Try blocking it once (remember to leave the 'remember my answer' box in Zone Alarm unchecked) and see what happens. If you are unable to use some service then allow the GHP. Also make sure that your computer is free of trojans/viruses/spyware so that you are sure that these are not connecting throught the GHP.

Bump means you haven't had an answer and the post needs to be bumped up for attention again.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
