I know I'll get shouted at by the other techs on here, but there /is/ an alternative to flashing your BIOS. All new hard drives come with BIOS overlay software and jumper settings for cylinder limitation. Most of the techs I work with say these are the tools of the devil, but personally I've never had any problems with 'em.
Perseverance in all matters.

Your BIOS is dated by 1999 year, that's why it doesn't support drives over 40 gig... besides, if it is actully A-Trend MB - they are out of business since 2001 year, and as result, their support is gone... But you still can find some BIOSes on the I-net...
For example, here:
http://www.rom.by/bios/A-trend/index.htm
You see, there are newer official BIOS version and unofficial (patched) one for this MB. Patched version supports drives up to 120Gig and any Intel PIIIs and Celerons (at least on BIOS level)...
Let me know, if you need some help with Russian language...
