    tower for the jetway 830 cf

    i think i need a tower for the jetway 830cf, as my own tower am using now wont fit the jetway,they r differant size motherboards.wot case am i looking for to fit this motherboard

    the jetway board , is not different than many modern boards http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/produ...30CF/830CF.htm ,,,are u saying that the board won,t fit in the case , because it touches your cd-roms etc ,,,,or because the "fixings" at the back , ie com ports etc are in the wrong place

    most new std cases take the larger boards ,,,

    the chances are that if u are using an older case ,,,,then your psu may not handle the power req for the newer board ,,,


    in the UK a case with a 300w psu would cost approx £30-35 ,,,,,half a night of beers ,,,,

    jetway motherboard 830cf

    i forgot to explain,i tried to fit my new motherboard to the case ,but it did not line up with the hole in the tower, it is a smaller board to the 1 that is fitted.the holes dont match up,to fit it into place

    you don, need to start a new thread ,,,,just continue the old one.


    which "holes" are u on about ,,,,,the screw holes bolting the board down ,,,or do u mean the "holes" at the back??


    is your old computer a brand name , or has it been built localy ,,,,,,what spec was it ,,,ie what cpu (prosessor) did it have


    (i am trying to work out if its an atx or older at machine)

    Sounds like you need a new I/O plate at the back
    which usually comes with the new motherboard
