Problem with image saving, file type

Cannot save images off the web as a jpeg in WinXp anymore, only bitmap, even when the extension in the URL says jpeg, bitmap is the only option, which is slowing down work cuz people have to open it in Photoshop or another program and resave as a jpeg. The jpeg option was always there before, with the appropriate file types, but not now. Nothing has been updated or changed that I know of. Is there an option somewhere or something that needs to be reset? Any ideas besides re-installing WinXP and seeing if it works again? Thx!

    Hi Luthien
    Welcome to Windrivers
Emptying the Internet explorer cache usually works for this problem
