    SoundMAX volume problem?

    A problem with the sound volume of my SoundMax equipped ASUS P4P800-VM. The volume just doesn't get loud enough for my two desktop speakers. My old motherboard put out much more. I am familiar with how to adjust the volume control window and also set up the SoundMax control properly. I removed and then put back the program for this.
    Any other ideas?

    Welcome to Windriver Duoman.

    I'm betting those old speakers of yours are not powered. New cards and onboard sound require powered speakers. You have invested in a spanking new board, get your self some speakers to match.
