Internet Explorer Problem

for about 2 months ive been having this problem. my internet explore will not load up! everytime i click it as soon as it opens up, it says "Internet explorer has encountered an error and will now close"
how can i fix this? i reinstalled it but it still never fixed.

hey man i'm having the same problem try the new update on windows update for internet expoler or do a restore- back (if u got xp) good luck!

Same thing happened to me but I was able to fix it right away. A friend of mine had a homepage hijacker. I ran Ad-Aware and removed it, then IE would open, hourglass, and error. What it was is the code was still firing to change the homepage, but the file it was looking for was removed by Ad-Aware, there for it would error out. I installed, updated, and ran Spybot, it picked up a few stragglers including files associated with the homepage hijacker. Removed the instances, and everything was good. Could be the same situation, could be different. Just a little FYI.
