First of hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset002 have nothing to do with BIOS
My soultion is , Check that your memory is not corrupt with goldmemory or similar.
Then check that your harddrive is not corrupt/broken with maxtors powermax or similar ...
does not sound like a virus...
sounds like fault hardware ... might even be the CPU thats corrupt ... had this today..changed all hardware until i found it..
kept giving me bluescreens and corrupt files ... also filerights that where corrupted
