Force Windows to Enable Keyboard Drivers?
Hi all,
For an IT project, I'm trying to hack the Windows drivers for 2000, XP, and 2003 Adv. Server so that we would be able to send scancodes through the keyboard port. But the problem is, when Windows loads and doesn't get a response from an actual keyboard the driver disables and the port closes all communication. Does anyone know of a specific solution to this? I have the Windows Driver Development Kit at my disposal but it doesn't seem that it would be this difficult to do this.
Thanks,
con

I have no problems starting the keyboard as we have a custom bios that is tricked into thinking there is actually a keyboard. We would like to send scancodes via a host machine through the keyboard port for automation purposes.
Thanks for your effor though.
