Point of order!
I'd like to be in charge please. I have several reforms that I'd like to enact.
For instance, If elected I'd petition to have conditions for the common man improved, which means you and I all get a new house, a kicka$$ PC and laptop and car for free. I'd also be a fair and balanced in my administration and I'd have a blue ribbon group monitor this independantly to keep us from having a conflict of interest that might make anything eneven at all for anyone, ever.

Someday when I grow an intelligence I will contribute to this thread.
In the meantime, I'm just going to make an observation that Dubya is a perfect example of this entire discussion.

I'd tend to agree. Much more valuable than intelligence is choosing the right parents.

I agree, totally.
A lot of it is the drive that more wealthy parents instill into siblings but at least half of it is who they know. I know a total moron who can barely tie his shoes that makes loads of loot because his daddy got him his job. I'm sure he does it well and is willing to work the long hours but his most important factor was a father who was already in the business with connections.

The complete morons I have worked for always got their jobs through their familiy. Most of the bright ones got the jobs on their own.

I feel your pain. I'm pretty much surrounded by idiots here at work. When I first started, I helped the occasional person with a print problem, now I'm friggin' taking care of the server if it ever crashes.
Like last week one of the power supplies in it died. So management runs right to me and says "Help, something is wrong with the server". *rolls eyes*
I wish they would just call the help desk like they should be doing. But unfortunately I'm too nice and so I just go take care of it.
