I happen to be very smart and now I keep it under the radar... Because at my last job I was expected to do twice the work as other co-workers and I would never have been moved up the company because was I threat. They made me teach my (high school kid) replacement (Happened to be related to the boss). Now I'm told they miss having me there..BOO HOO for them

I'd tend to agree. Much more valuable than intelligence is choosing the right parents.

I agree, totally.
A lot of it is the drive that more wealthy parents instill into siblings but at least half of it is who they know. I know a total moron who can barely tie his shoes that makes loads of loot because his daddy got him his job. I'm sure he does it well and is willing to work the long hours but his most important factor was a father who was already in the business with connections.

The complete morons I have worked for always got their jobs through their familiy. Most of the bright ones got the jobs on their own.

I'm getting a new one of those management things soon so with luck he'll just be a little stupid and not amazingly stupid like my managers, managers, manager is right now who is running my dept. during management absence.
The only smart managers they hired, they ignore and act like they don't have authority. I work for ka-loons.

Don't forget that if you do somehow end up successful, you are an evil moneygrubbing bastard and should be taxed because you can afford it.
I heard a rumor that once upon a time people lauded and were motivated by success rather than hated it.

I don't know about you all, but I still am.
Yeah, intelligence has it downfalls, and its virtues. When all is said and done, and, if you could change things, what would you choose? I'll tell you one thing: sometimes I wish I didn't think about EVERYTHING so damn much. But, most other times, I am thankful.
