Musicians...
Ok in a shameless attempt at WOTPP... (remember I am a lowly recruit...)
Who here is a musician outside of their love of computers? What instrument do you play, and does it generate you any revenue?
I play guitar, and have made approximately £750 so far on two commercially released CD's and 1 single.
Weapons list;
1 Gibson Les Paul Studio
1 Gibson Gothic Explorer
1 Epiphone Les Paul Custom
1 Aria Electric Acoustic
2 Strat copies
1 Technics Piano
1 PC with Studio Recording software.
Also vote on which you think is the best build of guitar....

The best guitar depends on the sound you're going for. I like clean, jazzy stuff so I prefer Gibson hollow-bodies but they cost more than a small car. Can't beat a Tele or Strat for twang. My next guitar will be a honeyburst Les Paul Classic as soon as I can find one for around $1200 or less...
1999 Epiphone Sheraton with flatwound strings
1997 American Stratocaster, white with rosewood fretboard
2002 Yairi DY-95 acoustic
199? Fender Standard Jazz Bass
1972 Fender Twin Reverb (silverface)
VOX wah pedal
Ibanez Tube Screamer

Hmm..well, I have the following:
Gibson ES-335
Taylor Acoustic/Electric 12 string
Nord 61 key keyboard
Crate 6 channel PA head that i use as an amp..with a Yamaha twin 15 speaker cab
Martin d12-28..1968..that stays in a humidified case and gets played maybe once a month
as for the best guitar..that depends on what you are doing with it..I had a very nice Gibson L-5 for awhile until it got stolen..
and a 72 Gretsch Tennessean
but if you get the rest of the band involved..the lead player has the usual selection of strats and les pauls..along with a twin bottom Fender VibroKing amp...and a nylon strung Godin..
The Bass Player likes Ampeg amps and jazz basses..but has a bunch of old fender stuff along with some Vox modeling amps that I like a lot

Nice... Reason why I ask is I have Gibson Les Paul and Epiphone Les Paul, and I really am struggling to accept that the Epiphone is supposed to be a copy. It's built better, and looks/sounds exactly the same. All in all disappointed with the build quality of the Gibson.

Nice stuff. I'd hunt-down the bastard that stole the L-5. Dem's purty.
