I like penny ante poker at home (7 card stud or texas holdem).

Playing at home we run the list...Mexican Sweat, 7 card stud, Hold em, Screw your neighbor, between the posts, the bitch, 5 card draw, etc...
At the casino... a little video poker, maybe blackjack, some Roulette, and if they have it Let it Ride. Don't like the casino as much, I lose all my money and everyone is always too serious. Of course, only been to Lousiana river boat casino's

Played roulette on my recent first trip to Vegas. Definitely my favorite now. Find a $5 table and you can play for hours. Free drinks offset any losses you might get (drinks are $7 otherwise) and you can BS with people from all over the world.

When hanging out with the guys, "Screw your Neighbor" is a really fun game.
The guys I play with like Seven Card Stud a whole lot, but they like a lot of Wild Card BS, so I don't play much. Max Bet in our games=$0.50.

If it's with the guys, then we play Screw Your Neighbor, Hold 'em, Five Card Stud, In-betweens (may be the same as Cleetus' "Between the Posts", 31, Black Bottom, Baseball, and a couple others.
If it's as the casino, then it's mostly Roulette. Occasionally we do the "weasle" thing. That's where you get about $20 in quarters, dump them in a pail and walk around playing random slot machines. It's funny how often you'll win $1 off one machine and then $5 off something different.

If we're talking only card games, then with friends/family...
I doubt it (otherwise known as bull****, liar, bs, etc.)
Rummy
Progressive Rummy
Tripoly
That's what is normally played anyway. Throughout my life, I've played...
Canasta
Poker
Blackjack
Hearts
Spades
Double Solitare
King's in a Corner
Speed
War
Egyptian Ratscrew
Hand and Foot
Spoons
The Bum Game
and probably countless others that I have forgotten about.
Never been to a casino, but if I went I'd probably just stick to slots.

It's a card game similar to War. It's also called Cat and Mouse. Very fun to play with about 4 or 5 people. Mostly based on luck, but you have to be quick at times (i.e. if two cards are played in a row-two jacks, two sevens, etc.-the person who grabs the cards gets them). I highly recommend NEVER playing with a person wearing a cast (bad experience), someone with long nails (another bad experience), or with a new deck of cards (as they normally get multilated in competitive games).

OK, I've never heard of the game "screw your neighbor" and I'm interested in finding out what it is.....but I know I won't be able to put that in a search engine. In a class once, someone did a report on the psychological arguments for and against spanking. The internet was useless for their research.
So what is "screw your neighbor", aside from a fun way to get the old ladies' gossip mill going?

Everyone takes a similar amount or coin and puts it in front of them in 3 piles. It could be $.50 piles or whatever. Each person gets one card starting with the person to the left of the dealer. Lowest card puts in one coin(or stack of coins) of the three into the center pot. Last person left with money is the winner. Screw your neighbor comes in with the fact that starting with the person to the left of the dealer, you can trade with the person to your left if you think they have a better card. Dealer can trade with the top card in the deck. The card cannot be traded if they have a king though. So if you have a 2 and I trade you my three and am stuck with the 2, then you have effectivly screwed your neighbor.
If you have a decent amount of people playing, depending on the amount played with, you can win a good amount of money or chips.
