New Printer Problems
I keep getting a print head not installed message when I try to print something on my Cannon 850i.
I changed some preferences and reinstalled, and while I no longer get that error message, now my printer feeds the paper through and ACTS like it's printing, but the page always comes out blank. I have new cartridges (with the film removed, ), but still nothing.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

A quick google of i850 printhead will show you that this is a common problem with that model. If you feel comfortable, try cleaning the printhead (here's a quick howto), if that doesn't work, purchase a printhead and replace it.
Or get it to a qualified repair shop, or just junk the whole printer and replace it, depending on how much money you think is worth sinking into it.

Can you get the unit to print out a Self Test?

btw - just noticed the title of this thread, is this really a new printer??
If so, get it back for warranty repair/replacement.
