Angry Belkin Router - Israel Firmware Destroyed it!

I called Belkin tech support in the US and was told that my router
was defective but because I am not located in the United States (I
just moved to Israel last month from the US, where I purchased the
router) that I could not get a Return Authorization

Note the situation below. I now have the power light constantly
flashing green, despite numerous resets and power cycles.

    Subject: 802.11g Wireless DSL/Cable Gateway Router F5D7230-4

    > I recently moved to Israel, where I tried to run my 802.11g
Wireless DSL/Cable Gateway Router F5D7230-4 (which I purchased in
the USA) with the updated firmware for Israel (available on the Belkin
website). It had worked fine but then I had decided that, since I was
in Israel, I should install the Israel firmware.
    >
    > Since then I have been unable to connect to the router and when
I tried to run the easy install wizard, I got a message that I could
not connect to router. Note that this happens even when I press the
reset button for a long period of time.

well have you tried downloading the firmware from the us and flashing it with that?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I havnt flashed my firmware. but i did make some changes to the router setup. it then seemed to freeze and the http config of router wasnt getting anywhere. i left it for a fair while before giving up and removing power to the router and powering again. Now it has the same problem... just flashing powerlite then wan light flashes every second power light flash. Manual suggests its not getting past the boost stage of the router and since it doesnt give your network card an ip address for you to talk to the router i think there is no way around this except for with a hammer. i will call belkin tomorrow to see if anything can be done. but i doubt it.

It suggests with router powered up hold reset button in for 7 seconds to reset it.
