HD..dead...?
Hi dudes!
My HD has recentlly, died in my hands.
in other words, I booted my PC and the
HD power supply, tweaked for afew sec's
I meen that it started and stoped for a few
times, the supply, NOT the PSU, the main
electricity cunduct to the HD, Now, My HD
Is showing me all of my stuff, folders and
files, renamed into wiered names, like for
example, Instead of seeing :
"D:\Program Files"
I see :
"D:\PROGR=.@" or somthin' like this, My guess
is that the first byte of my HD, has died...
So what are you'r suggestions, is there a way
to backup some of my stuff...? or is it dead and
I can't even format it..?
I'm having this problem on 1 of my 10.4 GB HD'z
I got a Win2k with SP2 a P-3/450Mhz on a P3B-F
with 384MB SD-Ram and 2x Maxtor of 10.4 GB
with a Segate 40 GB HD... any suggestions?
Thanks ahead!
