    Hi,


    I have a BIG problem with my CDrom drive (3 of them ), they are unabled to read burned CD and i have to reinstall the drivers for win2k so that i can see them !

    Anybody got the same problem ?

    current pc config :
    Asus p3v133
    p3 550 slot1 pc100
    512 mo ram (2x 256pc133 )
    Scsi controller Pci aha2940u
    3 quantum 30gigs
    1 yamaha burner crw2100e (ide 16x10x40)
    1 scsi DVD pioneer 103
    1 yamaha burner 6x4x16 scsi
    sb 5.1
    ati aiw pro 32mo


    os : win2k sp1 english with all latest patch
    burner : Nero 5.0.4.8, inCd 2.09

    so can any one help me !

    wow, that looks like a lot of devices to me (3 HDD, 3 CD/DVD).

    I'd start from the beginning (Win2K reinstallation) with just one from each category hooked up (one HDD, one CD/DVD), install the system, check the CD's, then add another drive, then another and so forth, until you find out which one is causing the troubles.

    Are talking about not being able to read one particular burned CD or all of them ?

    Have you tried Adode's UDF reader? Whenever I first try to use a CD-R or RW I have to install the UDF reader. After the install, everything works fine.

    UDF reader is needed if you are using a DirectCD formatted disc
    If at first you dont succeed, sit down and take a break.
