Yeah, it does. I wish we could know exactly who made these modules. I mean, if they supplied Toshiba with bad ram, you have to wonder how many of this makers other ram modules are also bad.

Thanks for this.
My company uses Toshiba laptops exclusively.
Going to the URL http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/home.to and clicking on the "Notice Regarding Component Exchange Program" link on the right side of the page allowed me to use a scanning utility which confirmed that my laptop had faulty RAM.

You can test your ram with www.memtest.org
It can create a bootable cd or floppy diskette.
Is there a reason you wanted the toshiba tester?

Hi,
Thanks for this.
I was looking for the Toshiba checked as it would confirm whether the memory is affected by the re-call or not.
I have a Portege R100 which runs really slow and has a video corruption problem so I am thinking it could be something to do with this re-call...?

You would have to get hold of Toshiba to find that out... in the meanwhile run memtest any way.
Video corruption can be loads of things... not just ram.

Ok. Thanks for that. I will give it a go.
If anyone does have the Toshiba Memory Check utility for the memory re-call, please let me know.

Adam
