WOW is right. This game rocks. I deleted my CoH account. The teaming seems a bit more disjointed but the economic/profession side is damn cool. WOW has it's own mini Ebay.

The official World of Warcraft website is reporting that certain individuals are selling Blizzard's in-game property for cash on auction sites such as eBay and on personal websites. Here's an excerpt:

It has come to our attention that certain individuals are selling Blizzard's in-game property for cash on auction sites such as eBay and on personal websites. The World of Warcraft Terms of Use clearly state that all of the content in World of Warcraft is the property of Blizzard, and Blizzard does not allow "in game" items to be sold for real money. Accordingly, Blizzard Entertainment will take any and all actions necessary to stop this behavior. Not only do we believe that it is illegal, but it also has the potential to damage the game economy and overall experience for the many thousands of others who play World of Warcraft for fun. In order to promote a fun and fair environment for all our customers, we are actively investigating those individuals who engage in this inappropriate activity and reserve the right to take legal action against these individuals to protect World of Warcraft for all those who "play by the rules." If you are found to be selling in-game property (such as coins, items, or characters), for real money, you will lose your characters and accounts, and Blizzard Entertainment reserves its right to pursue legal action against you as well.

We also want to remind potential buyers in the game to please refrain from buying in-game property with real money. We understand the temptation to purchase better items, but Blizzard, and not the seller, does own all in-game property. In addition, we feel that characters can find ample equipment and money within the game through their own adventuring and questing. Please understand that if you do purchase in-game property from sellers on eBay and personal sites, we may temporarily suspend your account, and at the very least, delete the offending items.

I have to say that this is the first RPG I have ever gotten into, and I am obsessed. I can not stop at all. It was hard for me to work on the RACE CAR without thinking about this game.

Ebay is right. I have an aution I am the high bidder for a blue ( rare) level axe that will end just after I get home. I wish there was a website we could contact the auction house while we were at work!

OMG that download sucks so bad its not even funny. Imagine having to use that to download the entire install for that game during beta... It wasnt fun...

All that asside though... Its still a damn fun game.... Ive got a lvl 22 Hunter that im probably gonna delete eventually. Ive decided on a Paladin instead. Its just more fun walking up to a guy with a giant wooden malet and wacking up side the head with it..

There were a lot of complaints and over 1800 views in 3 hours on the thread I started in the Blizzard forum about this. I've noticed that they appear to pull the plug on the forum logon server during updates... fishy.

Once I got it downloaded (they did end up putting it on fileplanet and hopefully they'll continue to do this), I got into the game and had a blast. Did you buy snowballs? I bought about 100 and travelled to Auberdine to throw snowballs at the lvl 14s. Muahahahah!!!! It was sooooo funny. I play on a pvp server but I'm not really interested in stalking alliance. I'd rather just do my quests and looking back I wish I had created my accounts on a regular server. Getting ganked sucks. When I see lower level enemies I usually try to wave, smile, or bow and not initiate anything. Some people just won't have it though and try to kill you even though you're ten levels higher than them. But the snowball thing, what a riot! I'd like to see a flag option for the pvp stuff. Throw up a white or blue flag to show that you're just exploring and build some kind of 'peace'. I think that would be cool. With the forums you can always have outside game contact and have peace negotiations between guilds. ...kinda need a signal though. No communication between alliance/horde is tough.
