I love the deskbar too; so easy to search now and you don't even have to open a browser window.

I'lll use the Google Desktop search engine at home, but it is not going anywhere my work PC.

Deskbar not desktop. Different things.

I use the Google Toolbar, but the version that does NOT phone home with my info. It has been quite valuable for stopping popups, and I was using it for a search engine back when everyone was using Lycos, etc.

Not bad for a freebie.
