Thanks Scott. Been here for quite a few years longer than my "joined date" would suggest. You created something of value and managed to be a good captain too. Wishing you success and happiness in your future ventures.

Dude, we gotta talk.
Scott, once again I wish to thank you for the personal investment of time, effort and resources into developping my first and favourite bulletin board. The sacrifices you and your family made to make this community what it is were often overlooked and under-appreciated.
The Lounge area is what made this place different and interesting for me and others, and it's why I keep coming back here: to share about anything and everything with my IT peers.
No one understands a geek like another geek, and you displayed that in your handling of the place.
I too found this place along with my first tech job (network admin in a hospital in late 1999) and lurked around before joining up. It is closely associated with my professional career and has developped a social side as well now.
I wish you the best, and hope you'll let us know which handle you'll be using here if you don't keep the WD one.

I still remember the way I found this site all those years ago.
I was having a load of trouble finding some obscure driver for a customers machine and was getting quite frustrated. Our telephone tech support guy at the time had also been looking for a driver for a customer and stumbled across your site, finding the link to the driver he needed in about 5 minutes. As soon as he found it, he called me over and said "Jeff, come take a look at this site, it has links to any driver you need!". Well, as soon as I found the driver I was looking for, I book marked this site. As I found myself returning several times a day to find drivers, I decided to make it my home page.
It took a few months before I discovered the forums, and another month or two until I made a post. I don't remember if I was looking for help or giving it, but that doesn't matter does it? A few short months later I took over modding one of the forums. This grew into more forums as other mods left, or couldn't handle the responsibility of so many forums, until we arrive at the present day.
I want to thank you Scott for giving me a home on the net. Some place that I can come to any time of the day to have a laugh, vent some steam, help someone out with a problem or get help with a problem of my own.
I wish you luck with your future endeavors. Your family should be proud to have such a great man in their life. You will always be loved here, just as long as you wear some pants while eating you cereal in the morning in front of the webcam!

Somewhere around my house I still have a few of those business cards you sent to me!
This has been such a fun and educational site for so many of us that a simple thanks may not be enough, but it is all that I can offer, so thank you Scott.

I remember the first post I had, I started a thread asking for help finding a driver. No one answered, I posted again, and was told I was S.O.L. Then I posted another tech help, no one could help on that one either. So then I found the lounge and the tales. After I started reading and laughing at the tales, I started to post, then I posted more and more. Every once in a while I asked a question, and everytime no one could help me figure it out.
Thanks for everything

I don't know why you're leaving but it will never be as good without you around. Best of luck.

It's hard to come up with something to add to all this ... except maybe to say, "<AOL> Me, too. </AOL>"
Best wishes, and thanks, from me to you.
