windows xp won't activate.

I have a dell here that when booted says to activate windows. When you click to activate it tells you that it is activated, and brings you back to the login screen. then when you try to login it says it needs to be activated.....


Any ideas how I can get it to activate? it's windows xp home sp1

Did you install with a legit key, or was it one of the Special Corporate keys?

Not sure how it was done. I didn't do the install. I'll have to try and find out more about the system.

You could try the magicjellybean key viewer to check the product key you can also use it to change the key to the one on the side of the case or CD wallet and try activating again.
