    Angry No audio sound

    Please help if you can!!!!!

I have a Presario S5000V with a clean install of Windows XP (without restore CD) I have downloaded and installed the audio drivers from the HP web site for this PC (AC97). XP hardware wiz will locate the wardware and install the driver without conflict. But I have now output sound and when I look for an audio device in the control panel under "sounds and audio devices" it tells me "No audio device installed". If I need to give more info please let me know.

    And Welcome to Windrivers Kwarenec!
The link that freddy supplied looks to be exactly your issue.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I tried what you suggested Freedy and I found my "Startup Type" to be already set to "Automatic". So this didn't work for me. Any other ideals?? Any at all?? Other than the TNT which is next on my list. Lets see XP tell me that device isn't installed. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
