Supposed to be DVD player
This is supposed to be a DVD player drive according to my mom who bought the computer for me. It has been reformatted and supposedly brought back to it's original configurations. However when I put a DVD in the drive it says that there is no disk in the drive. I have tried downloading CyberDVD PowerDVD and it didn't help. Please Help Me!!!
Here is what I know:
Dell Optiplex GX 260
Windows XP Home
D: Drive - "Name: HL-DT-ST CD-ROM GCR-8481B Type: DVD/CD-ROM drive"
E: Drive - "Name: HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8481B Type: DVD/CD-ROM drive"
If you need more info just let me know and I'll get it.
Thanks,
One Confused Kitty

Both units appear to be CD, not DVD.
Dell is listing GCR-8481B as CD-ROM
LG is listing GCE-8418 as CD-RW.
