Workhourse Laptop
Looking for a reliable laptop for small business. Which, in your opinions, is the most reliable? Brand name is all, I know what features I need. I meant workhorse.

Well, what exactly do you need in a laptop?
What are your big requirements?
Are you more concerned with power or portability?
Is this going to be used as a desktop replacement, or just for occasional portable use?
Myself, I think Dell has a nice line of laptops, as well as Toshiba and HP/Compaq to mention a few.
IBM's Thinkpads are nice as well, but usually overpriced, imho.

This lady is a Loan officer and is on the road a lot. She just wants a reliable laptop to input information in. I have allways recommended Toshiba and I was just wondering what everyone elses opinions are.

I like Toshiba, HP, Acer, and Thinkpads. Not to high on Dell, though, because I think reliability is poor these days. You also have to be careful buying one since the basic models are very poorly spec'd in terms of battery life, memory, warranty, etc. Dells may seem like a great deal, but by the time you get them equiped to a decent level, they aren't such a bargain anymore.

I agree. Thats how they trick people into believing there getting a deal and before they know it they just bought a pc for more then a great custom built one would cost that can actually be upgraded. Most Dells are topped out when you get them and the important software is a 60 day trial. I do like Toshiba so I will continue to recommend them. Thanks guys as usual.
