    Realtek AC'97 no sound

    i have a Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller and i have greyed out volume, and it says that there no audio device, also i cant go on speaker settings that greyed out aswell.

    but in device manager my Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller says its working fine.

    In device manager there is also a yellow mark near Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatiblity Driver, I went on update driver but it says there wasnt any.

    there is a VIA Interegated Setup wizard software on control panel aswell

    My mother board is Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394.

    any ideas?
