    Question Nvidia Driver Installation Probs.

    Hey Guys, (First Post) umm..anyways.

I need some help, I updated my graphics card a while ago to a Nvidia Geforce FX 5200, from a Rage 128 Pro. The installation was ok, and the card seemed to be working fine, but my monitor would randomly turn itself off every once in a while. Odd i thought and i tried updating monitor drivers, reset the power options (in BIOS too) but to no avail.

So I formatted, everything went fine except when it came to installing the drivers for the graphics card, it'll restart after it partially installs the driver, like during the installation. I have the nvidia desktop management thing installed, but in the device manager the card isn't working properly (it's a CODE 10, apparently?!). I've tried different Nvidia drivers, and am currently on the 66.03 (the newest ones anyway) and it still retstarts after installation..

    Help me pleeease. Cheers guys

    Welcome to WD RandomBob.
Have you tried to extract the nVidia drivers first without installing with the executable file? If not, try that and then run setup.exe with all background processes stoped including av etc.
