Unhappy Read any good books lately?

I'm bored at work and have got to last until midnight - yes I've really got to work until midnight on a Sunday I'm 5 minutes from the local book store. What would you recommend?

    For me mostly Scifi
Last book I read was Orson Scott Card - Xenocide
Now (from time to time - I got studies on my mind) - I read dune heretics by Frank Herbert.
IMHO the Dune Series is a must for every geek

I've just purchased The Anubis gates by Tim Powers. I've read it before, but a great book is a great book, and this is a great book. If only people would stop disturbing me by asking me to troubleshoot their broadband connections. Docsis! Such is life.

The entire "_______ Prey" series by John Sanford. I am waiting on the next one, each book is a complete story in itself, although they do connect somewhat. And, he is a geek at heart!!

I just read the bio of Meridith Viera's husband. He sure has been through a lot! An oldie but a goodie is Stephen King's "Stand by Me" and "Seabiskit"(my spelling--yikes) is also good (though this is not by S. King).

Just finished Lamb and liked it, although I liked Fluke better.
