    Voodoo3 and WinME

I have a system here with WinME and a 3DFX voodoo3 agp card... It will only stay in 640x480 resolution... It's an older P3 733. I installed the Via 4 in 1 (not hyperion). And I've tried a few drivers with different dates but it seems to not make a difference. Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix it? Lets avoid "Get rid of WinME" or other remarks like that please... ;P

    Hi,

The Voodoo cards are very particular about what monitor drivers you are running. I've had that problem many times when the monitor driver is set as Default Monitor. I have corrected this problem in the past by installing the monitor driver from the manufacturers website or by selecting a Generic monitor with a resolution size that my monitor will accommedate.

    Good luck!

sold voodoo cards for several years before they were bought out!

they were some of the best cards on the market and I still have a Voodoo 5 in my XP box at home

    Glad I could help!!
