    can not get sound or touch screen to work on my toughbook cf18

    I currently had a toughbook model cf 18 repaired and had windows xp installed on it. Since then I can not get my speaker to work or my touchscreen to work. Can some one please help me. (keep in mind i don't know a whole lot about computers)

    Welcome to Windrivers rek4has

    go here and register. You will then be able to download the drivers you need.

    Once you have downloaded the drivers, post again for help installing them - but usually all you have to do is save the file to a folder you can find again, and when it's finished downloading, double click the file and it will install.

    Some really great information here. Thanks to everyone who posted CF-27 driver links. Now I have a CF-27. with XP and a touchscreen.

    Hi guys,
    I'll apologise up front for bumping this old thread but I just got my hands on my first Toughbook.
    I was very interested to hear that some people have Win 2000 and even win XP running on these laptops and I got all excited at the idea of updating mine from win 98SE to XP pro but then reality chipped in with, "I wonder which version of the Toughbook CF-27 these guys were using?". I'll bet my last penny it isn't a CF-27 running a P11 chip @300 MHz and 320 RAM like mine.
    Anyway, many thanks for the links to Toughbook drivers.
