    Post Best printer under $225?

Hi, I just got an HP PhotoSmart P1100 and I have 30 days evalution with the store so I can get my money back/exchange it if I want.

I wanted a printer that is fast & photo quality.

Here are the main specs of the PhotoSmart P1100:
-12 pages per minutes in B&W, 10 PPM in color
    -2400 DPI photo quality
    -Automatic double sided printing
-IR wireless port (use it to print wirlessly from my Pocket PC)
-CF/Smart media slots (use it to print without using my PC when I take photos with the camera on my PocketPC)
-2 Paper trays (1 for normal paper and one for photo paper)

    Cons:
-Doesn't print up to the end of the page (full bleed) like Epson printers do
-Ink isn't water resistant like Epson printers
-Takes longer to dry the page than to print it when printing double sided

Are there any printers better than this one for less than $220 US (330$ CAN)?

    Thanks

I'd say take a look at the Lexmark Z53 or Z52, fast and good print quality.
Would you like fries with that?

I read that this printer uses a lot of ink per page and my HP is still a lot better than that lexmark.

    Thanks anyway

I love HPs. I also know Epsons are good. Here is a review for an Epson... it's a little more than $220, but you might want to get it anyway. :-)

It's quite a bit under your price but I like Epson 888 (8 cubed) They're great and can't be beat at that price. Little lower on the specs in terms of ppm I believe though.

Thanks for your comments, I think I made the best choice with the PhotoSmart P1100 and I'll keep it. It's VERY fast even in color (12PPM in B&W, 10 PPM in color) and the quality is very good even on plain paper, it's also the only printer at that price that prints both sides and has an IR port and 2 card slots!
