According to the user advice here:
http://www.praktica.de/CMSFiles/PDF1...erhinweise.pdf
no drivers are required for Windows 2000, ME or XP, only for Windows 98
exceptions are DC21 which needs a driver no matter which O/S is used, and DCZ 2.2 which needs a driver for all O/S only when using the camera as a webcam.
Of course an ability to read and understand German seems to be mandatory here! Not much is in English from Praktica.
Regards Janet.

Praktica DCZ 8VR
Hi,
I recently brought a Praktica DCZ 8VR digital camera and also had problems transfering photos to my PC, which runs Windows XP. The solution (in my case) was when I brought an addition memory card (128 Mb, but a I guess the size doesn't matter). With the camera and computer switched on, plug the USB lead from the PC to the camera, open Windows Explorer, and an additional external drive (probably labelled "F") will appear. The pictures will be available within this drive.
Hope this helps.
