DVD plays too fast
I'm using Windows ME. I have a CD drive and a DVD/CDR drive. DVDs play about 1.5 to 2 times too fast, with the sound in synch. I tried several different players, no change. I tried putting the dvd drive in a different PC and it was fine. I put in a new video card (for other reasons) and it didn't change a thing.
Then I noticed that win media player plays mpg/mpeg video fast also!?.
Music plays at normal speed.
I don't think this is even a driver problem.
Any guesses?
Thanks.

Geezer
Maybe codecs - perhaps google yourself one of the 'KLite' codec packs, & install that ? (codecs are bits of code/hardware that change one data stream type to another) .. but my aging memory is busy telling me its something to do with your sound card re-sampling to 48khz instead of maybe 44.1khz, but I think offhand, that's only with digital out on soundblaster cards ..
& welcome to wd forums !
