Yup.
When I came back I decided to take up the handle I now use in my City of Heroes websites and other tech forums to make things easier for me, and also to symbolize a fresh start here.

Well, assuming you didn't do the fubarian thing and take "gas until you see god, then brake" literally, was there any other reason for the change?

Well... I was gone for about a year... just recently came back and took up the new name to go along with the new start.
That's the politically correct, brief, version.
And before anyone the guessing starts, it had nothing to do with the administration of WD, nor change in such. The decision to leave was motivated by personal reasons.
