    Mapped drive will not Reconnect

I have a WinXP Home Edition computer system connected to a Win 2000 server. Everytime I log on to the system it gives me that it could not reconnect to the mapped drive. I go into My Computer and I click on the mapped drive and it works no problem. My problem is I don't want my client to do this everytime this happens. I setup the user and password on the server and it looked like everything was working fine until I rebooted the system. Is there a fix for this besides creating a script for the log in???

In the Win XP HE I log in with a username and password. I entered this same information on the server in the Active Directory. It will not keep the mapped drive connected if I reboot or log off and log back on.
