Cool Bose Sound Card Driver Required

    Hello All.

I am in the process of trying to get an old IBM Model 2140 computer going. I have loaded Windows 2000, but the speakers (which are part of the screen IBM Monitor # 2116) do not work.

I have removed the sound card from the computer, and its details are as follows:

Bose T1 9729-1..Other numbers listed on the card are 191011 PCB Assy, and finally printed on the circuit board is 191000.

If anyone has information as to where I can get the sound card drive from, it would be gratefully appreciated.

    Regards Greg

    Welcome to WinDrivers, Greg.

The Bose T1is not a sound card, it is an amp card that drives the speakers from the line level signal, so it requires no drivers.

You will however need to have the drivers for the motherboard's dual Crystal Sound chips functional, and since Lenovo took over, support for older IBM machines is a bit patchy.

What operating system are you running? The system should have come with Win98SE I think.

In Device Manager, are there any protest indicators on the sound device?

    Exclamation Bose Driver

    Hi Greg,
I may not be of much help, as I am in a similar situation with my LQ6 2140.
I cleaned off my HD to install Win98se, the same thing happened, I was advised to find and install a driver to suit the Crystal Chips, but each time after install and reboot every thing else stuffed up and could only get it to run in safe mode. I then had to uninstall the card to get my computer usable again. I have tried to install a PCI sound card but the cable connection to the mother board do not matchup.
Can any one please help us.
