Resolved [RESOLVED] Re; Transfer of data from one slave drive....

I have installed a Seagate 80 GB hard drive as a slave drive for data storage, but I am running out off space FAST. I am considering purchasing a 200 GB Drive to replace it. I also use this drive for the small number off games that I play.

Can you people in cyberland please advise if it is possible to transfer the data that is on my current slave HDD to the new bigger Slave HDD....... or will I have to reload each program one at a time.

    Thank you for your time
    Regards.
    Terry

Yes Ghost would do nicely. Connect only the original slave drive and the new slave drive and then ghost the old drive to the new one.

    Lightbulb Re;New HDD Drive

I have recently purchased a 300GB Maxtor DiamondMax 10 SATA2 [16MB] hard drive, but before I install it I would like further advice as I would like to use as a slave and not a master.

The question is the jumper pins do I leave it in place or do I remove it as the instruction do not advise on how they should be if you are using it as a slave.

Please use the attached link to view page from the instruction book.

Thank you for your time in this matter.

    Terry.
