It's not spam and while the pay rate is ummmm less than one would hope for, they are obviously looking for entry level techs who are at college or have other responsibilities and cannot work full time. It's staying because it is exactly the sort of thing I would be interested in.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

It might be a good opportunity for somebody in high school or college that does not have any documented experience. This would enable them to get something verifiable on their résumé.

Wondering why everyone is thinking this pay rate is too low?

Is it because this is part time or because of the high cost of living in the areas mentioned. If this was a regular 40 hour week at this rate, this would be $52,000.00 a year. Last time I checked, that was well over the national median income. That seems like an excellent rate for entry level and the job description...

It's contract labor, so you pay ALL your own taxes. Plus, contract labor typically includes no benefits. I don't know if this is true of this position, but sometimes in jobs like this your billable hours don't include the time you spend going to and from the client. Suddenly, the $52,000 a year feels more like $20,000.

Makes a little more sense stated that way...

Gas, insurance, vehicle wear and tear and no reimbursment would make that dollar figure go down quickly.

Gotta watch those contract jobs! Even the ones that look good can go sour. I'm owed a few thou by a bankrupt service company. 10 cents on the dollar (if I'm lucky) by the time the company is liquidated.

You left out the highest expense....Psychiatric Services .

I just grow landscape shrubbery and I hate one on one customer crap.

I pity the person who has to go out and listen to them cry the blues.

I was in sales in landscape shrubbery for a long tme and one on one
is the worst thing I have ever endured.

Thinking back......What if I had been nice!
