Non-existant HID keyboard in Dev Manager
USB 2.0 devices connected:
Win XP Pro SP2 with Logitech G15 keyboard, MX1000 and Microsoft Comfort optical mice.
Both mice on Windows drivers only.
APC UPS connected.
All work fine.
edit: other keyboard was a USB
I did have a Microsoft USB keyboard connected also at one time. I disconnected it (didn't do an uninstall just took it away one day).
The keyboard also shows in 'Keyboard' on Control panel (same source I suppose).
I can uninstall the second 'keyboard' in Device Manager and it goes away UNTIL I reboot. Then, VOILA'.
This is annoying, not causing a problem.
Anyone seen this before?
edit: I should mention they both say HID BUT the fake one has no entry for Power Management when you examine its' Properties.
edit: I uninstalled ALL keyboards, shut down, disconnected the keybioard, restarted and none showed.
So I shut down, reconected the G15 and booted and the 2 show again - thus, it is a Logitech thing.
Ah well, it works so I will accept the weirdness.
