AMD Phenom update
Some boards may ship out unable to acknowledge the AMD quad core Phenom processors. Make sure you have a dual core or lower on hand and update the BIOS if you get no BIOS post with the Phenom in. I discovered this with the Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 series and I'm sure other motherboards may have this issue if they were made before the Phenom was released.

Did it work after you updated the BIOS though?
I remember reading a review on tomshardware and even after updating the BIOS that board still wouldn't recognise the phenom. I got the same MB but don't wanna get one if it's not gonna work and have to get a new board.

Wonder if that is just a nvidia issue?
Because the amd/ati solution 790FX didnt have an issue with the Phenom.
I thought the bios updates were going to be for the AM2 boards to make them accept Phenom's
