DDR2-800 worth it on AM2?
I recently upgraded to Socket AM2 (3600+ X2, Asus M2NPV-VM), and since I didn't have enough money for a nice 2GB kit at the time, I ended up buying a 512MB generic stick for the short term.
Now, I've got a little more money behind me, so I'm having a look around for 2GB kits. Now, an 800MHz kit is about 25-30% more expensive than the equivalent 667 kit (comparing two kits from the same shop and same brand), is it really worth spending the extra for the 800?
I'm glad I didn't buy the 2GB kit at the same time as buying the board/CPU, though, they've dropped $20-30AUD since then.
I'd be the village idiot, but that spot is already taken.

Ended up just grabbing a 2GB Kingston 667 kit locally. Was a little more than I'd expected, but still not too bad.
Next, a new PSU and 120mm exhaust fan, and hopefully then I'll leave this PC alone for a while
