    Exclamation BIOS beeping

I have a Compaq Presario SR2002X with Phoenix Bios, the beeps sounds like 1-1-1-1, and I can't find any information on that. I think the problem was when I had taken out the computer ram cards(2), then put both back in. I had done this dozen of times, so I knew what I was doing, and now this is the first this has ever happen to me .
Any ideas to help me get my computer back to normal would be very appreciated.

This appears to be a bad CMOS battery,or maybe the motherboard.

    it are reseated good?Sound,Video,Modem etc.....

Also, I would take out both ram chips and try booting it up like that to see if the beep code changes. That will tell you if the problem is definitely ram related.

Yep, definitely memory related. Probably nothing worse than the memory being seated incorrectly, but if could have gotten a static zap. I wouldn't worry much though. Remove it, clean the slots with some canned air and contact cleaner, use some contact cleaner or a typewriter eraser on the RAM and reinstall.
