Congrats, you've made it past the big hump (at least for me anyways). I had quit several times before I finally quit for good, I could always make 1 week no sweat but always gave in on the 2nd week.

The wife and I quit over a month ago. She had been using this Chantix medication with great success, but it was a near-death surgery and 5 week recovery that has cured her of cigarettes. I had quit several times before, but couldn't keep it up as long as Linda still smoked.

I am taking Welbutrin to keep from biting people's heads off and still get the occassional craving, particularly when under stress. I did love me smokes. I am enjoying the new wonderful world of taste and smell which has been restored after quitting.
I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.

I have never even tried it. I just never had the desire.

Yes, I'm also a smoker. Started to smoke before anyone knew it was dangerous to smoke, back in 1958. I just thought that it was really grown up and the COOL thing to do. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!!!. I would not have started smoking if I knew then what I know now about cigarettes.

I quit smoking on June 15, 1999. I get the occasional craving, or the occasional thought that a cigarette might be a good idea, but I just laugh it off.

The hard part is working onsite when someone is smoking.
If only you knew what's inside of me now,
You wouldn't want to know me, somehow.

It's called an avatar, you can choose one by clicking on user cp button (above on the left) and then look down the menu on the left hand side and click edit avatar and choose one from the pages and pages of silly pics!
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I started when I was 17 and stopped when I was 17 (which was only about __ months ago!).

Used to smoke Players and thought it was 'big' to do. Can't remember why I stopped, but glad I did.

My dad smoked heavily, then had a heart attack when he was 43. I never had any interest in smoking before, but that cinched it for me. Nope, it's one vice I've managed to avoid. I wish I could say the same about chocolate...

After 3 and a half years, I walked my dog about a mile at a fast pace tonight in a Humidex of 28 centigrade (that is HOT for Canadians) and never had to stop.

Before I quit I had to stop 4 times and darned near calved when I finally got home.

Don't smoke - be a hitman/woman or something else. Just stay away from tobacco.

Maybe what NooNoo told you is what you mean about a picture.
'Photobucket' is where you can go to add a picture with your message.

I quit 25 years ago and haven't missed it. I could have made it to 5' if I didn't smoke.

I started smoking when I was 13 and smoked until I was 21. That was back in 1979.

I quit cold turkey. Just don't go out and buy any more with your precious money. And don't bum any off of your family and/or friends.

And yes, it is true. Ex-smokers are the worst when it comes to b|tching about having to be around smokers. Everything stinks, the ash trays are nasty, and I'm sick of all of the cigarette burns in the funiture, the aphostery in the car,...

Uh, ok. I feel better now. Thanks for the rant.

Seriously tho, quit. And quit now. Don't be one of those who sits there and says, "Yeah, one of these days I'll quit." Just go ahead and do it!
    I'm good enough.
    I'm smart enough.
    And doggone it,
    People like me!
