Any suggestion on making nlb for w2k work wif hardware load balancer
Hi does anybody know if i can have a w2k nlb wif the same ip address as the one created for the hardware load balancer or do i need to have 2 unique address (1 for the hardware load balancer the other for w2k nlb)?

It seems the hardware load balancer does not detect if the server service is running as long as the server is powerup it will route the user to that server

OK, but do you have a cluster of servers?
What hardware load balancer do you have? Perhaps there is a configuration error?

no sure regarding the configuration cos we've out-source it to anothe vendor but i do not run cluster services of these web servers the hard ware i'm using is Cisco content Switch CSS11500

this config example implies that it does detect the server service. Maybe you need to check which version of the ios you are running.
