Can my motherboard support this videocard?
Hello
I recently bought this motherboard (P5LP-LE (Leonite)) http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...46&lc=en&cc=us and I was wondering if this motherboard can support this videocard (EVGA E-GEFORCE 8800GTS Superclocked 576MHZ 320MB 1.7GHZ) http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=eVGA .
I need a videocard who will work under windows vista and directX 10 and I ve read a lot of negative feedback tower the Geforce 8600's series, so I guess that my only viable option is the 8800's series.
Thanks for your help!

Looking at the specs, your motherboard has pci-e 16 slot so, yes it should support it. My concern would be whether the power supply would be sufficient. see the requirements for the card here
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I agree with Noo...power is a major concern for newer high-end video cards. Often the symptoms of bad power or underpowering the system mimic the symptoms of other, more expensive components failing.
Take those minimum requirements and add at least 10-25% for safety's sake.
