    No longer an Adult ?!

I went to my Local Library today to get a book reserved, also I couldn't find my Library Card ... it had expired anyway a few years ago.

So the lady proceeded to get me a new one. However, the screen got a bit muddled because it determined because I'd passed a certain age, I was no longer an Adult.

When she changed the screen to call me a 'Senior Citizen', the screen was happy.

But I wasn't, why can't I be an ADULT any more?

you know you have passed into Senior Citizen status when all the pretty shop girls start calling you 'honey' or 'sweetie' when you check out.

Mags, are they hinting you've entered your second childhood ??

I suppose it's possible software used on computers of government instrumentalities might require those categories to allocate potential concessions, even if it doesn't apply in every situation?

Indeed, computers have a mind of their own!

But as I was out Rock and Rolling last night, with one lovely lady, who then had to leave to relieve her baby sitter ... then another even more lovely lady (half my age) asked me to dance with her ... I am now going to go back to the Library and DEMAND they change my description to a TEENAGER !

Oh there were men there too, but none of them got up to dance !

Mags, you definitely are not an adult...
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I dunno I'd say feel lucky, I'm cursed with the "great genes" I get ID checks, curfew checks, treated like I'm 16, disregarded, and more because I look WAY younger than I really am. On top of that I was blessed with parents that don't have any genes for a low voice so I look AND sound like I'm still in the beginning years of highschool. So feel lucky you at least got to experience adulthood. I still yearn for the day I'm allowed to go into an R movie without being stopped and asked where my parents are.

Wow your friend surpasses me by far then. I am 28 but I figure I would at least look close to 21 by now. :P Just this weekend I was at a party and I got suspected of being someones little tag along brother.

Well, I'm 28 and could pass reasonably well for 38. Oh well, at least I didn't get carded for booze when I was 19.

...ah then on Friday, out for a meal ... I said, 'can I have half of that?' She said, 'would you like a Child's Portion?'

I thought, 'I've been everthing else, might as well .... !!'

Same here Niclo. I am 30 and still get carded for alcohol almost anywhere I go. In fact, last week I took my teenage son for x-rays, and when i was checking him in (he went to the waiting room to sit) the receptionist looked at the form, looked at me and asked if my mother or father were along........

Anyhow, having a baby face isn't a curse, most people consider it a blessing. When you're 50 and look 30, you'll appreciate it more.
