    Welcome to Windrivers kuangmao
Did you download the drivers From this page? There is only one LAN (network) driver - perhaps you are confusing it with something else? What devices in device manager have ! or ? next to them?

Did you download and install the chipset drivers?
You can order Recovery CDS as well to get the right version.

    ok do this

    start
    run
    type in
    cmd
    click ok
When the black box opens type in the box
    ipconfig /all
    and press enter
and look at the IP address for the network card (you might have more than one if you have firewire, modems or or ther networking devices attached)

If the IP address starts 169.x.x.x then the card is working, it just can't get a proper IP and you need to post about what your computer network card is connected to.

    If the IP is 0.0.0.0
    Type in
    ping 127.0.0.1
You should get 4 lines saying it replied like this
Pinging 127.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
    Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
    Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
    Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128

    Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms

Otherwise it will say that it timed out.

after you get everything going so if you run into this trouble again...when you restored your computer did you delete the restore partition? if not press f10 or f11 the second you see the hp logo on the screen...if you did delete the restore partition just contact hp and for a small fee they will send you the disks...ps if you call hp and not tell them what you did and say you pressed f10 or f11 and nothing happened, you may get those disks free
